SIDEREAL ASTROLOGY VS TROPICAL ASTROLOGY
Tropical Astrology
Tropical astrology measures the zodiac through the cycle of the seasons. The zodiac begins at the Spring Equinox (0° Aries) and remains fixed to Earth’s relationship with the Sun. The system uses twelve equal signs, forming a symbolic wheel of seasonal energy.
Sidereal Astrology
Sidereal astrology measures the zodiac according to the actual constellations in the sky. It follows the real stellar positions and adjusts for the precession of the equinoxes, the slow shift of Earth’s axis over time. Because it tracks the sky itself, some sidereal traditions also recognise Ophiuchus, the Serpent Bearer, as a constellation within the zodiac band.
Main Differences:
Reference point
Tropical: Earth’s seasons
Sidereal: Fixed stars and constellationsZodiac structure
Tropical: Twelve symbolic signs
Sidereal: Based on constellations, sometimes including OphiuchusCurrent position shift
Due to Earth’s axial wobble, the two systems differ by roughly 23–24 degrees, which can shift a person’s sign in sidereal charts.
In simple terms:
Tropical astrology follows the rhythm of the Earth.
Sidereal astrology follows the architecture of the stars.

Astrology and Egregores
Egregore
An egregore is a collective field of energy and meaning created by shared belief, attention, and symbolism. When many minds focus on the same idea over time, it forms a subtle psychological and cultural current that people can unconsciously connect to.
Astrology and Egregores
Astrological systems function as powerful symbolic fields. When someone identifies with a sign or chart, they often begin to attune to the archetypal patterns associated with it.
For example, a person with the Sun in Aquarius may resonate with themes of innovation, independence, and future-thinking, as well as the planetary influences linked with that sign. Through identification, interpretation, and repeated focus, the individual gradually aligns with that symbolic current.
In simple terms:
An egregore is the shared field of meaning around a symbol, and astrology is one of the oldest symbolic fields humanity has created.

Every zodiac sign carries the influence of one of the four elements. These elements describe the core temperament of a person — how they act, feel, decide, and move through life.
Fire — energy and drive
Passionate, courageous, action-oriented, competitive, enthusiastic, impulsive, visionary.
Earth — stability and structure
Grounded, practical, disciplined, patient, reliable, focused on building and material reality.
Water — emotion and intuition
Sensitive, empathetic, imaginative, intuitive, nurturing, deeply connected to feelings.
Air — intellect and communication
Curious, analytical, social, communicative, idea-driven, adaptable, mentally active.
The Elements in Astrology

When I worked with tropical astrology, something in the energetic picture never quite aligned. My chart showed no fire signs at all and was heavily dominated by earth.
Tropical chart:
Earth — 7
Air — 3
Water — 3
Yet internally, I always recognised a very different temperament: a strong temper, courage, initiative, sexuality and a natural surge of fire.
When I explored sidereal astrology, the elemental balance changed dramatically.
Sidereal chart:
Earth — 4
Air — 4
Fire — 6
Suddenly, the inner experience made sense. The fiery drive that had always been present was no longer missing from the map.
For me, shifting systems felt like removing a mask. The tropical chart described a version of me that felt slightly displaced, while the sidereal chart reflected something far more familiar — as if the compass had finally pointed back to its true direction.
In my experience, it felt less like learning who I should be, and more like remembering who I already was. Liberating and amazing.
